The Story Behind Sockable

From Skydives to Sock Drives

Sockable Fundraising started with one simple goal: to make fundraising easier, more joyful, and actually worth doing.

Hi, I’m Brooke McCallum, and like many parents, I’ve spent years juggling work, family, and a deep commitment to helping my kids’ sports teams and school groups raise money. After decades of organising everything from movie nights to tea towel drives, I knew there had to be a better way.

In 2018, we took on a challenge to raise $100,000 for a junior basketball team travelling to the USA. We tried everything—and it was exhausting. That’s when we discovered socks. People loved them. They were useful, fun, and easy to sell. From there, Sockable was born.

From Sock Packs to Full-Service Fundraising

We began with simple sock packs sold at school gates and clinics. But as demand grew—and the world changed—we adapted. During COVID, we launched Do It For Me, an online fundraising option for groups needing a fully hands-off solution.

That service is now known as ShipTogether, our best-price option that delivers all orders to the organiser in one easy shipment. We also offer ShipToHome for total convenience—where we handle everything and ship directly to supporters.

All of our socks are high-quality, custom-designed, and manufactured with care to ensure affordability and consistent quality across every fundraiser.

About Brooke

👋 I’m an accountant, fundraiser, and mum of three based in Perth, WA.

Fun fact? I used to jump out of planes competitively as a freestyle skydiving champion—and yes, I now get my adrenaline from sock sales and Shiraz.

I know how hard fundraising is. I’ve been there. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help other parents, teachers, and volunteers fundraise in a way that’s actually doable—and maybe even fun.
